The owner, Andre Matias, takes tremendous pride in his work, and he and his crew are capable, conscientious, and courteous at all times. He treats your home as if it were his own. We have an old house that needs work, and selected AR Home Renovations based on the number of A grades on Angie’s List. We can assert that the A Grades were well deserved. Andre spent several hours looking over our house and talking to us about what we wanted done. There was a crack over the doorway in one of the rooms, and he was the only contractor who wanted to know why it was there. He looked in the cellar and discovered one of the supporting beams was cracked. He and his crew installed a new beam and Lally columns, and did all the legwork getting permits and inspections from the City of Boston. The cracked beam had caused the house to sag, and Andre and his crew were able to jack it up, a little each week, until it was nearly level again. We went on vacation while this was going on, and returned to a lovely surprise. Andre had repaired and painted the wrought iron banister, fence, and gate at the front of our house. No additional charge. He insisted it was a gift.
